The successful candidates must possess the ability to work independently, communicate effectively and maintain professional working relationships with clients, coworkers, and permit applicants. Essential Duties:
The essential duties noted below are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, functions, and skills. They are intended to be a summary of key job responsibilities and duties.
1. Perform field inspections of industrial, commercial, and residential buildings during various stages of construction to verify compliance with applicable California Building Codes and approved project documents.
2. Issue written correction notices as required.
3. Maintain basic record-keeping practices
4. Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required
5. Perform all work consistent with BPR’s and Clients policies and procedures.
6. Provide all services in an efficient, proactive, and client focused manner.

Desired Qualifications:
- Over 3 years of experience as a building inspector, performing inspections on various types of construction projects, including multifamily residential complexes and tract homes
- Must possess knowledge of building inspection and construction processes.
- Experience in the interpretation and application of building codes.
- Advanced knowledge of California Building Codes.
- Good driving record.
Certification Requirements:
- Minimum Requirement: ICC Building Inspector Certification
- Additional certifications from the International Code Council (ICC), such as but not limited to:
- ICC Residential Building Inspector
- ICC Commercial Building Inspector
- ICC Plumbing Inspector
- ICC Mechanical Inspector
- ICC Electrical Inspector
Compensation:
BPR Consulting Group offers competitive wages and has a strong benefit offerings.
$62,400 – $104,000 annually
